Craig Kessler
Craig Kessler is a Professor of Medicine and Pathology at the Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, DC. He is also Chief of the Division of Hematology-Oncology, Director of the Division of Coagulation in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Director of the Adult Component, Washington Area Hemophilia Comprehensive Care Center in Georgetown. After pursuing a fellowship in haematology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Dr Kessler has been involved in ongoing scientific and clinical research, including federally funded studies for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). An active member of several professional organisations, he is the former president of the Hemophilia Research Society of North America and remains a Member of the Board. Dr Kessler has been recognised for his professional accomplishments and contributions: he has been named a Fellow of the American College of Internal Medicine (ACIM) and has received the Alpha Therapeutic Award for his research and clinical work in bleeding and clotting disorders.
