Marco Ruggeri

Marco Ruggeri is a Senior Consultant in the Haematology Department of the Regional Hospital of Vicenza. He was Registrar in the same department between 1988 and 1993. He has been conducting clinical research in the field of haematology and haemostasis since 1985, and his main fields of interest are chronic myeloproliferative syndromes and thrombocytopenia. Dr Ruggeri has published several papers, many in high-impact journals. He is an active member of the European Haematology Association (EHA) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH). Dr Ruggeri obtained his degree in medicine at the University of Verona in 1985, a postgraduate specialisation in haematology at the University of Padova in 1989, an MD in statistics and clinical epidemiology at the University of Verona in 2001 and a post-graduate MD in systematic revision of the medical literature at the University of Milan in 2003.
