Andrea Toma
Andrea Toma is a Doctor in the Clinical Haematology Department of Pitié Salpetrière Hospital in Paris. Her major research interests in myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) include iron metabolism and the immunological abnormalities observed in MDS. She is a member of the Groupe Français des Myélodysplasies (GFM). Dr Toma studied medicine at the University of Paris VI and received her MD from the University of Paris Descartes – Paris V. She began specialist training in haematology in 2006. She received her licence of biological and medical science in immunology in 1999, and completed her Masters in 2000 at the Pasteur Institute and a research fellowship in immunology in 2003.
