Dr Lena Sharp
Head of Department at The Regional Cancer Centre, Stockholm-Gotland, Sweden
Lena Sharp is the past president of the European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS). She is currently the Head of Department at The Regional Cancer Centre, Stockholm-Gotland, Sweden. Lena has been a cancer nurse since 1985. She has a long experience in clinical cancer nursing, leadership, teaching and research.
Prior to taking up her post at the Regional Cancer Centre, Lena Sharp was the chief nursing officer and patient safety coordinator at the Department of Oncology at Karolinska University Hospital. Her main focus areas in cancer nursing research are patient safety, communication, leadership, inequalities and cancer care organization.

Sara Torcato Parreira
Oncology Nurse Care Coordinator in CUF Oncologia, Portugal
Sara Torcato Parreira is an oncology nurse specialist, working as an oncology nurse care coordinator in CUF Oncologia, Portugal. She has a MSc in Oncology Nursing and a postgraduate degree in Nursing Management. She worked for several years in the Oncology Day Unit and as a study-nurse in clinical trials. Sara is an active member of the Portuguese Oncology Nursing Association, being the co-coordinator of the Portuguese Young Cancer Nurses network. She is also a member of the European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS) and was the European Young Cancer Nurses representative from 2017 to 2019. Sara is involved in several projects in the oncology field, including the initiative, co-funded by the Health Programme of the European Union, Innovative Partnership for Action Against Cancer, as EONS representative.

Matthew Fowler
Consultant Nurse for Oncology and Haematology at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital (part of the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust)
Matthew Fowler graduated as a nurse from the University of Birmingham in 1997 and has worked as a cancer nurse since 1999. Matt is a consultant nurse for oncology and haematology at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital (part of the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust). Matt’s particular interests lie in advanced practice in cancer nursing, vascular access care as well as the management of low-risk febrile neutropenia. Matt holds a MSc in Nursing, a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice from Warwick university and has just embarked upon his PhD journey. Matt regularly teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate nurses, including the higher diploma in oncology and palliative care nursing at Bethlehem University in Palestine. He also has a keen interest in promoting cancer nursing as a profession to undergraduate nurses.
