Dr Spero R Cataland<\/b> (The Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Centre, Columbus, OH, USA) joins us for Rare Disease Day to discuss the importance of rapid diagnosis of acquired thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (aTTP), a rare blood disorder in which blood clots form in small blood vessels throughout the body. In this interview, Dr Cataland discusses the risks associated with aTTP, the long-term complications and the impact of living with this disease day to day.<\/span><\/p>\n
