The Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) is a non-profit, educational and scientific association aiming to improve patient care through the support of teaching, science, research and clinical practice in the field of cardiovascular and interventional radiology. This is achieved through state-of-the-art meetings; publication and media activity; educational workshops and grants; and scientific, advocacy and patient safety initiatives. Furthermore the Society provides an examination for its members – the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR), which is the European qualification in Interventional Radiology.
The Annual Congress takes place every year in September. The European Conference on Interventional Oncology is an annual event organised by the CIRSE Foundation.
CIRSE 2020 Virtual Congress – CIRSE Executive Committee has decided to hold CIRSE 2020 from September 12-15 as an online only event instead of the physical meeting originally planned to take place in Munich. By offering a virtual congress, CIRSE will provide a safe and reliable platform for knowledge exchange to IRs around the world
