Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE)

The Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) is a non-profit, educational and scientific association aiming to improve patient care through the support of teaching, science, research and clinical practice in the field of cardiovascular and interventional radiology. This is achieved through state-of-the-art meetings; a plethora of online courses and webinars; publication and media activity; educational workshops and grants; and scientific, advocacy and patient safety initiatives. Furthermore the Society provides an examination for its members – the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR), which is the European qualification in interventional radiology, and a formal hospital accreditation called the International Accreditation System for Interventional Oncology Services (IASIOS) which aims to appraise medical facilities’ interventional oncology service lines.
CIRSE 2023 will take place in Copenhagen from September 9-13, 2023.
The CIRSE 2023 programme will focus on building evidence through research as well as on further establishing interventional radiology as a clinical, patient-centred discipline.
One of the eight topic tracks will delve into the ever-important topic of interventional oncology, honing in on a variety of topical subjects, such as renal cancer management, oligometastatic disease, and advanced technology in IO. In addition, workshops will provide practical tips and tricks on ablation for liver and lung metastases, respectively.
